Connie Moss came to Richmond for a peace rally last week with her 6-year-old daughter, Rose Womack, and friend Mahealani Akau (right.)

Connie Moss is among the thousands of Americans protesting the invasion of Iraq. Her son is among the thousands of American troops fighting in the Middle East.

“My son and I have agreed to disagree,” said Moss, a 44-year-old mother of six from the Lunenburg County town of Victoria.

Her eldest son, 23-year-old Colin Moss, a senior airman in the Air Force, was sent to the Middle East the Wednesday before U.S.-led coalition forces invaded Iraq. “This is my son and I have to respect his choice, and he has to respect my choice.”
