Parrish has won over grizzled Star Tribune newshands

Some Star Tribune staffers feared that assistant managing editor Mi-Ai Parrish (left) would turn the Sunday paper into a giant features section. (She left the San Francisco Chronicle in 2002 to take the Minneapolis job.) That hasn’t happened, say David Schimke‘s Strib sources. One says: “She has a natural feel for how the entire paper looks, and a genuine interest in giving a wide variety of subjects prominent play.
