Editorial cartoonists doing animation for the Web is nothing new, but
it still amazes me how few of them have gotten into producing
animation. Mark Fiore has been producing his great animated editorial cartoons for several years, and there are a few others. This About.com page lists some of the animated editorial cartoons available online.
Now, add to that short list Walt Handelsman, Pulitzer Prize-winning cartoonist for Newsday. Yesterday, his first animated editorial cartoon, a 45-second piece combining politics and the Winter Olympics, debuted.
