Russel Pergament, who started Metro Boston and then launched AM New York, has returned to Boston and plans to start another free daily called Boston Now, reports Steve Bailey. Pergament says his backer, Icelandic conglomerate Dagsbrun, wants to start free tabloids in eight to 10 US cities within the next few years. He promises he’ll break news in his new Boston paper. “It is not going to be just watered down wire copy.”
