Three Eugene TV stations reported Wednesday that Jeremiah Masoli would be pitching for the Eugene Emeralds minor league baseball team this summer, only to find out later it was a joke. “An April Fools’ joke is one thing, but lying is a whole different thing,” says KEZI’s assistant news director, who was told the news release was accurate. The Register-Guard also received the release, but figured it was a prank.
