A network executive reported the move to the Associated Press’s David Bauder on Sunday night. Katie Couric is expected to launch a syndicated talk show in 2012 and several companies are vying for her services. || Couric in January 2010: “Will there be a 6:30 newscast well into the future? I’m not really sure because of the way people are getting news. … People want the news when they want the news.”
