In an email, former GE CEO Jack Welch quits his column after he was criticized for commentary about the latest jobs report:

I wanted to let you know that tomorrow, once again, we will have a piece in The Wall Street Journal. In terms of traction, it’s just a better platform for us than Reuters or Fortune. So effective today, we’re terminating our contract.
