The Associated Press has pulled two photos from Monday’s Navy Yard shooting. They were credited to Don Andres. NBC News interviewed someone with the same name and identified him as a legislative aide to U.S. Rep. Steven Horsford of Nevada.

AP moved the photos at 11:22 a.m. and pulled the at 5:53 p.m. It sent an advisory at 1:05 p.m. saying “Associated Press is further investigating the details in these photos.”
“THE ASSOCIATED PRESS HAS BEEN UNABLE TO CONFIRM THAT THE INCIDENT SHOWN IN THIS PICTURE IS DIRECTLY CONNECTED WITH THE SHOOTINGS AT THE NAVAL YARD IN WASHINGTON,” the elimination notice says.
Andres’ photos were widely published Monday.
