On Thursday, Variety reported that Public Radio International will stop distributing “This American Life” in July.
“During our most recent negotiation, it became clear that our organizations’ expectations regarding our futures were different,” said PRI executive Julia Yager in a statement.
That doesn’t mean the show’s over though.

Dru Sefton reported in Current that PRI has distributed “This American Life” since 1997.
PRI distributed TAL to 587 stations for a weekly audience of some 2.2 million listeners. “We are extremely proud of our productive relationship and role in their success,” PRI said.
Seth Lind, director of operations for TAL, told Current that the show has not yet chosen another distributor.
On Thursday, Nick Woltman reported for the (St. Paul, Minn.) Pioneer Press that “This American Life” will still be produced by WBEZ in Chicago.
