The Hartford Courant

Rick Daniels, most recently chief operating officer of GoLocal24, will be chief executive officer and publisher of the Hartford Courant Media Group, Tribune Publishing announced Friday.

Daniels succeeds Nancy Meyer, who will become publisher and CEO of Tribune’s Orlando Sentinel Media Group, according to the Courant.

Meyer will take over for Howard Greenberg, who “who has held the dual role of publisher in Orlando and at the Sun Sentinel Media Group in Fort Lauderdale, Fla. for more than six years.” Greenberg will now focus exclusively on running the Sun Sentinel Media Group.

Before coming to community news startup GoLocal24, Daniels was president and CEO of GateHouse Media New England, according to the Courant.

Daniels will begin next month.
