Chicago’s RedEye led Thursday with a farewell to Jon Stewart, who, if you hadn’t heard, will host his last episode of Comedy Central’s “The Daily Show” tonight.

Poynter’s Ben Mullin asked journalists on the media beat for their assessment of Stewart’s run. This is from CNN’s Brian Stelter:

You can also find some of our favorite Jon Stewart moments here. Tributes and look-backs and critiques abound this week. Slate’s “The Most Jon Stewart Moments in the History of The Daily Show With Jon Stewart” is a good one. Quartz shared “Jon Stewart’s seven most serious moments on ‘The Daily Show.'” And in February, the late David Carr spoke with CBS about Stewart’s impact.

“He made a dent in the universe, never mind all the other people he unleashed on the world, and he did it through so called fake news annotating real news,” Carr said. “For a lot of young people, that was the news, and they’re gonna miss it.”

There were other front pages devoted to the comedian today, as well. These are all via Newseum.
