Philadelphia Media Network “will mark a significant event in Philadelphia’s modern history” by cranking out a book based on the visit of Pope Francis this weekend at the closing of the World Meeting of Families conference.
Quickie books have long been a newspaper staple, often spurred by major sports victories of local teams, presidential elections and, on occasion, a pope’s visit.
In a letter to readers, Philadelphia Media Network marketing chief Matt Broad said this coffee table book “will be largely comprised of full color photographs of Pope Francis’ visit, including images of the papal mass. The photographs will be complemented by editorial coverage prior to and including the visit as well as The Philadelphia Inquirer’s biography of Pope Francis.”
The price for signing up now is $29.99, ten bucks more after that, and it ships Nov. 27.
