Poynter adjunct faculty member Craig Silverman and Fast Company have teamed up to debunk and confirm rumors swirling around the forthcoming launch of the Apple Watch, Apple’s much-hyped wearable device.

Fast Company and Silverman’s rumor-tracking site Emergent.info list more than 80 rumors surrounding the watch, which range from the mundane (the device might be shower resistant) to the extravagant (whispers of a $10,000 gold edition). As the Apple Watch special event unfolds via livestream this afternoon, Silverman and Fast Company are striking out and confirming the unverified claims.

So far, a rumor that the Cupertino tech company will “reveal a refreshed Apple TV” at the event has already been disproven. A claim that HBO Now streaming is coming to Apple TV has been confirmed.

Here’s a complete list of the rumors, along with an up-to-the-minute determination of their veracity.
