On Dec. 20, 1998, Sunday front pages led with these headlines:

“A day in history,” read The Kokomo (Indiana) Tribune.

“IMPEACHED,” read the Fort Myers (Florida) News-Press.

“A nation divided,” read the Wilkes-Barre (Pennsylvania) Citizens’ Voice.

Twenty-one years after President Bill Clinton was impeached by the House of Representatives, Thursday’s front pages led with more historic impeachment news. We took a look back at front pages from Clinton’s impeachment and compared them with today’s front pages from the impeachment of President Donald Trump.

Here’s our collection, which we created using fronts from the Newseum and Newspapers.com. Use the slider to move between two historical front pages from each newspaper.
