Created by the experts at the Poynter Institute for Media Studies, this self-directed course aims to equip learners to complete the Journalism Trust Initiative’s questionnaire. Launched and operated by the Reporters Without Borders, JTI aims at a healthier information space by developing and implementing indicators for trustworthiness of journalism.Â
Through a mix of examples from JTI-certified outlets, explainers and video tutorials, participants in this course will be walked step-by-step through the 18 sections of the Journalism Trust Initiative’s self-assessment. With 59 distinct sections addressing each individual component, learners can take the whole course or simply review modules for sections they are struggling with.
